Students graduate from ASMSA

WESTSIDE — Students from Decatur, Gentry and Gravette are among the 88 who graduated recently from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts (ASMSA), located in Hot Springs.

The graduates are Tait Clements of Decatur, son of Heidi and Anthony Migliori and Thomas Clements; Maryia Storie of Gentry, daughter of Jayne and Robert Adams; and Chance Key of Gravette, son of Scott and Laveta Key.

Students who are enrolled at ASMSA for the fall semester which began August 9 are April Abiera of Gravette, daughter of Lisa and Michael Abiera; Avery Charles of Gravette, son of Heather Severson; and Heather Cooper of Gentry, daughter of Ann Hancock and Thomas Cooper. These students live in new residence halls.

ASMSA is one of 14 public residential high schools specializing in the education of advanced juniors and seniors.

Enrollment is open to all Arkansas students who meet the academic criteria with free tuition, room and board. Students interested should apply during their sophomore year. For information contact the admission office, 501-622-5146.

Open house for prospective students and their families will be held September 11 at the downtown Hot Springs campus.
