GRAVETTE - While students at Gravette Upper Elementary School enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner at their cafeteria last Tuesday, members of the city fire and police departments loaded boxes of canned goods and non-perishables for transport to the Feed My Sheep Food Pantry.

The children at the school collected a total of 898 items for the pantry which serves persons in the Gravette area.

Fourth graders collected the most items during the collection drive during the first three weeksof November, said Vicki Tapp, school secretary. The students in that grade earned an extra recess.

The Feed My Sheep Food Pantry is now in its new location, adjacent the Can-Do Hardware on Second Avenue S. W. in Gravette.

Donations of nonperishable food items are always welcomed and needed for distribution, particularly during these economic downturn times.

The pantry is open Thursdays only, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 6 p.m., according to Ann Honderich, director.
