Recycling trailer coming to Gravette

Collection trailer is expected to be in place by January of 2011

GRAVETTE - Residents will soon have access to a recycling center, according to Allyson Ransom at Gravette City Hall, whohas been working with the Benton County Recycling Center to locate a unit in Gravette.

The trailer-type unit will provide bins for various types of recyclables,such as plastic and glass bottles, aluminum and steel cans, cardboard and mixed paper.

There will be no charge for the service, Ransom said.

She also said the exact location for the trailer has not yet been determined at this time but the trailer is expected to be in place by the end of January, 2011.

In the meantime, residents may use the county’s recycling center, located south of Centerton, where items can be placed in bins.

The Benton CountyRecycling Center also accepts bulky items, appliances, scrap metal, tires and some electronics, but not hazardous materials.
