Forbis, Hignight to wed

Morgan Elizabeth Forbis, of Marion, and Daniel Allan Hignight, of Conway, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Celia Dawn Forbis of West Memphis, and Nathan Slinkard of Marion. Her grandparents are Rheaba Morris of West Memphis and the late Jessie Morris, Denver Forbis of West Memphis and the late Katherine Forbis, Ronnie Slinkard of Little Rock, and Becky Slinkard of Jackson, Miss.

She is a 2008 graduate of West Memphis Senior High School and received an associate of arts degree in general education from Mid South Community College in 2010. She is majoring in addiction counseling at the University of Central Arkansas, where she is scheduled to graduate in 2012. She is employed as a legal secretary at Stephenson, Ziegenhorn & Bernard in West Memphis.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Steven and Gayle Hignight of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Jason Hignight of Hot Springs and the late Clarace Hignight, and Clyde and Phyllis Ulm of Forsyth, Mo.

He is a 2002 graduate of Gravette High School and graduated from the University of Arkansas Community College in Morrilton in 2008 with certifications in MIG welding, structural arc welding, pipe arc welding and TIG welding. He is employed as a pipeline welder.

The wedding will be on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
