Decatur correction facility escapee arrested

— A man who walked away from a correction facility in Decatur was arrested Thursday after about an hour and a half on the run, according to a news release from the Benton County Sheriff ’s Office.

Adam Watson, 21, of Tulsa, Okla., was beingheld at a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program facility in Decatur.

The facility takes prison inmates nearing the end of their sentences and helps them prepare for their release through a job program.

Deputies from the Benton County Sheriff ’s Office tracked Watson using a dogand found him hiding in a barn, according to the news release.

Watson was arrested in connection with parole violation. He was being held Friday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

His original charges were residential burglary and theft by receiving, according to the news release.
