Woman killed in Gentry car crash

— A Siloam Springs woman was killed and a Gravette woman injured in an accident on Arkansas Highway 59, just north of Gentry on Thursday.

According to a release from the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred at 8:22 a.m. when Samantha Eggebrech, 26, of Gravette, was southbound in a 2009 Ford Focus and passing another car. Her car collidedwith a northbound 2003 Honda Civic driven by Ravenna Floyd, 55, of Siloam Springs.

Both were taken to Washington Regional Medical Center, Eggebrech by helicopter and Floyd by ground unit. Floyd was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, according to the release.

A memorial fund to help pay for Floyd’s funeral expenses has been set up at the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church. For more information, call 736-8808.
