Last Week

Tuesday is Groundhog Day. As I sit here writing this, I wonder - Will he or won’t he? Will we only have six more weeks of winter or will it be another month and a half?

Robert Hamilton was able to come home from the hospital on Wednesday. We wish him a speedy recovery.

John and Amber Holloway have a new baby boy born Thursday. He has two big sisters to welcome him home.

Thank you, Ron and Karen, for bringing my newspaper to the house to me on Friday.

All you snow lovers should be happy now. Let us warm weather fans have some sunshine now.

Lytle Carlton passed away Saturday afternoon, following surgery on Thursday. Sympathy is extended to his family. Arrangements are incomplete at this time (Sunday).

February 3, 1947, the temperature at Snag, Yukon Territory, dipped to -81 degrees F., the coldest reading ever recorded in North America.

This Week

Again I apologize for not getting any news in last week. It snowed again and I cannot get out of my driveway.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Max Crawley.

Large crowds attended the visitation on Tuesday evening and services Wednesday morning for Lytle Carlton. Lytle was well known in the area and he will be missed.

Sympathy is extended to the relatives of the family lost in the Bella Vista fire Thursday morning. Also let’s say a prayer for the firemen, policemen and other officials involved.

Ward Carrier’s wife, Paula, and daughter Amy Brooks fixed him a delicious birthday lunch Sunday. Others helping him enjoy it were Brian and Diane Carrier, DaleLynn Carrier, Lamarise Carrier, Brittany Hegwood and myself.

Bill Habermehl has the flu at this time.

Rick Banks is still on our sick list.

Tammy Presley was to have started a new round of chemo treatments on Monday.

Novella Carlton is sick with a terrible cold at this time.

Robert Hamilton is recovering from his surgery and has started physical therapy.
