Maysville News - February 10, 2010

— Guess we need to be ready for more winter weather. After all, it’s still February. Someone said only 42 days until spring. Does that help?

Maysville E. H. Club members, we will combine January and February meetings. Because of the weather we couldn’t have the January meeting. It will be Feb. 25 in the home of Nikki Crawley. She is hostess and also has the lesson.

Patti King and Justin Sappington of Lowell and Sammie Sappington of Fayetteville visited Friday with Jack and Sylvia Tucker. They went to Cotton-Eyed Joe’s in Noel to eat, celebrating Jack’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Jack. Hope you have many more.

The Senior Day at Maysville community building will be February 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Order your lunch by Monday, Feb. 15, unless you plan to bring your lunch.

Billy and Violet Lovell had a family gathering in their home Sunday to celebrate Jewel Lukens’ 91st birthday. She is the mother of Violet Lovell and Sue Smith. Jewel reported a crowd of grandchildren and family members. She enjoyed it very much. There was good food and lots of visiting and I’m sure cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday, Jewel, and hope you have many more.

Jheri Roberts was guest speaker at Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning. His family was with him and it was good to have them. We had good attendance and a good service. Jheri will be there next Sunday, Feb. 14, and after the morning service we will have a potluck dinner. You are invited to attend services and plan to stay for the fellowship dinner.

Jacob and Shelly Bishop visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Saturday.

Several Maysville people attended funeral services for Max Crawley Tuesday afternoon at the Gravette Church of Christ. Sympathy is extended to the family.

News is short. Maybe when we have some more nice weather people can get out and visit. If you have news items send them to me, P. O. Box 1504, Gravette, AR. or call 1-479-787-5712.
