Senior Center Report

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

— The Center will be participating in a Regional Wii Bowling Tournament this Wednesday, February 10, at Benton County Senior Activity Center in Bentonville at 9:30 a.m. Teams from Benton, Carroll and Madison Counties will participate. First and second place will advance to the Final Tournament at Fayetteville Thursday, February 11. The Billy V. Hall SAC team is the Silver Strikers. Teasley Drug sponsored our team by helping with the costs of the team t-shirts. We thank Ron Teasley for his continued support.

The Center has teamed up with Benton County Solid Waste District to begin a recycling program at the Center and both the Billy V. Hall Senior Housing and Gravette Senior Housing complexes. Receptacles for collection of paper only have been placed at each housing complex in the community rooms and at the Senior Center. We encourage everyone to go green and take advantage of these drop points.

For information on hot Home Delivered Meals for Gravette, Decatur and Sulphur Springs, frozen Home Delivered Meals for Maysville homebound seniors or other services the Center offers call Mary Kay Kelley, Director, 787-5950.
