Trash pickup days change

GENTRY — Trash pickup days have changed for a good number of Gentry residents.

As a result of changing out commercial dumpsters to front-loading bins, making it easier for Allied Waste Services to empty them, trash pickup days in Gentry have also changed for some residents and businesses.

The schedule changes were included on the back of city water bills, but many were unaware of the changes last week when they went into effect.

Trash pickup days were changed as follows:

◊Those who had Monday pickup are still scheduled for Mondays;

◊ Those who had Tuesday trash pickup were changed to Friday pickup;

◊Friday pickup customers will continue tohave trash pickup on Fridays;

◊Thursday trash pickup customers were moved up to Wednesday pickup; and

◊For pickup, trash is still to be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on the appropriate days, according to the city notice.
