Carlene Bledsoe

Carlene Bledsoe, 70, of Gentry, died Feb. 11, 2010, at her home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1939, in Grass Valley, Calif., to Ralph and Pearl Womack Hazelbaker. She moved to Gentry from California in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil; one son, Brian Bledsoe and wife Suzanne, of Gentry; two brothers, Chuck Hazelbaker and wife Kathy of Cleveland, Tenn., and George Campbell and wife Norma of Joplin, Mo.; and one granddaughter.

No services are planned. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Mary Ellen McConnell

Mary Ellen McConnell, 65, of Sulphur Springs, died Feb. 10, 2010, at home.

She was born March 5, 1944, in Danville, Ill., to Howard and Martha Jones Hall. She was a homemaker, a member of Tired Iron of the Ozarks and she loved quilting. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Hall; a sister, Barbara Pruitt; a son, Donald Freeland; and two husbands, Wooten Freeland and Charles Yarbrough.

She is survived by her husband Louis McConnell of the home; three sons, Garth Freeland of Southwest City, Mo., Perry Freeland of Sulphur Springs, and Stan Yarbrough and wife Stacey of Carl Junction, Mo.; a daughter, Barbara England and husband Charles of Lincoln; an adopted daughter, Tammy Romero of Gentry; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Treadway of Georgetown, Ill.

Funeral services were Feb. 16 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Larry Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Nina Mae Murphree

Nina Mae (Barnes) Murphree, 88, died on Feb. 10, 2010, at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born April 8, 1921, in Gravette to T.N. and Leota Myrtle (Hopkins) Barnes. She married Joseph B. Murphree on July 7, 1961, in Tulsa. She worked as a machinist for 10 years and later sold Avon. She devoted much time to her yard and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and daughter Shirley Sanders.

She is survived by daughters, Sharon Warrington of Sapulpa, Okla., Patricia Monroe of Kiefer, Okla., and Rhonda Edwards of Tulsa; step-daughters, Reba Hettwer of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Judy Hemphill of Tulsa; a sister, Barbara McGarrah of Grove, Okla.; a brother, Clifford Barnes of Gravette; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Feb. 16 in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Tulsa. Arrangements were by Ninde Funeral Directors of Tulsa.

Norman Rodgers

Norman Rodgers, 74, of Siloam Springs, died Feb. 12, 2010, at Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in Maysville, to Glen Rodgers and Ruth Holcomb Rodgers. He retired from Franklin Electric in Siloam Springs. He married June Rogers on March 6, 1957.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Tommy Rodgers of Midway, and Randy Rodgers of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Kimberly Crowder of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.

Joseph F. Wright

Joseph F. Wright, 63, of Decatur, died Feb. 7, 2010, in Bentonville.

He was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Benton County, to Robert J. and Flora Belle Staton Wright. He retired from Peterson Industries in Decatur after 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David Wright, William Wright and Jacky Wright.

He is survived by three brothers, Kenneth Wright of Maysville, Robert Wright of Mansfield, Mo., Wayne Wright of Robertsville, Ala.; six sisters, Lucille Florer of Decatur, Carol Elder of Rogers, Angie Brinkley of Gentry, Hazel Adams of Gentry, Cathy Anglemyer of Gentry and Diana Clift of Marshfield, Mo.

A memorial service was held Feb. 12 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville, with Steve Hoover officiating. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
