Hiwasse News

— Every thunderstorm in February will bring a cold spell in May.

I’m sure you are all familiar with the controversy over the election commission closing some of the election locations in Benton County. Don’t let it happen at Hiwasse. Come election day, get out and vote each and every election.

Robert Brooks from Ola, AR, spent some time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, over the weekend.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday included Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, DaleLynn Carrier and Lamarise Carrier.

There is still a lot of sickness in our community. Those sick include Donna Hatcher, Sue Habermehl and Regina Keith from our church.

Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Gregg and Autumn, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carver and Jake helped Novella Carlton with some chores on Saturday, then they took her out to each for Valentine’s Day.

Lamarise Carrier stayed with her great-grandmother, Maxine Holloway, Saturday afternoon while Lamarise Henry did some shopping and ran some errands.

John and Julie Holloway have both been sick this week but were back at work before the week was over.

Hopefully the weather will soon warm up so people will feel like getting out and doing newsworthy things again.
