My brother, Jim Vandiver of Broken Arrow, OK, and friend Shirley of Tulsa came after me on Tuesday afternoon to go visit our brother, Vernon Vandiver, in the hospital at Fayetteville. He had his hip replacement Monday morning and is doing real well. We are excited for him. He has spent more time in the hospital since a year agothis January than he has been home. Hopefully this is his last stay. He is in a rehab hospital in Fayetteville. They moved him over there Friday. I visited him on the phone Sunday afternoon. He sounds so good.

Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista came by and visited me a while Sunday afternoon on their way home from Tulsa, OK. They were in a mission retreat over there Friday, Saturday and until noon Sunday. They also got to see and visit a while with Bruce and Leta (Holloway) Wilbanks. They enjoyed that. They reported a very good retreat.

I had a phone call from my cousin in Caldwell, Idaho. She said they were having 60 degree weather. I enjoyed the visit with her and told her we hadn’t had it that warm for quite some time.
