Sulphur Springs Treats Area Law Officers; Shows Off New Police Department Room

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

— Almost two dozen area law enforcement officers, Sheriff Keith Ferguson and supportive personnel were present at a luncheon Friday, February 5, at the Sulphur Springs schoolhouse dining room.

Prepared by ladies of the community, the luncheon was held to show appreciation for the support and cooperation to Sulphur Springs and to give those attending a tour of the newly completed police department quarters in the former schoolhouse.

Pictured are several of those who attended as they filled their plates with lasagna, salad and Texas toast before they enjoyed a variety of desserts prepared by the ladies.

In the other photo Sulphur Springs police chief sits at his desk in the newly refurbished police room located in the former Sulphur Springs school house. Shown with him is Sulphur Springs Mayor Bob Simon.
