Bloomfield 4-H members join in carnival and pie-baking contest

— 4-H Clubs and members from Benton County participated in the Benton County Valentine Carnival and Pie Baking Contest.

The evening included a carnival for families, prizes, pie contest and auction. Bloomfield 4-H club sponsored a silent auction that raised $2,230.00.

A Valentine King and Queen were selected from each county club and the boy and girl to raise the most money won the county king and queen title. Bloomfield’s Hunter Bennett was selected as county king.

Proceeds from the event go to the Benton County 4-H foundation to help fund local, district, and state events for 4-H kids. Money raised will also be used to award scholarships to graduating 4-H seniors. This year’s event was held at the Benton County Fair Grounds.
