Council Hears, Acts During Recent Meet

— Items discussed at the recent Gravette City Council Meeting of the Whole included the following:

Received reports from the police and fire departments, the public library and the streets and utilities departments.

The committee recommended that repairs required for the city’s storm siren warning system be paid for out of capital improvement funds.

Recommended a $10 fee for temporary water turnon for cleaning by landlords of rental properties.

Tabled until March discussing independent contractors for building inspections.

Heard from City Recorder Mike von Ree that properties involved in an eastof-city annexation projecthave been identified and that Planning Director Darren Warren will coordinate with the Regional Planning Commission on the issue.

Heard a sewer upgrade report which was reported in last week’s News Herald.

Council Meeting Set

Following the committee meeting the Finance and Administration Committee received the city’s monthly finance report with a review and discussion following. No action was recommended.

Some items discussed at the Committee meeting are expected to be on the agenda for the monthly City Council meeting this Thursday, February 25, at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center. No agenda had been announced at noon on Monday.
