— Mark your calendars. March 29 from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Countryview Animal Clinic will be giving rabies shots at the Hiwasse Fire Station. Be sure your “fur children” are all up to date on their shots.

We heard the dicky frogs this week. I know they have to get froze back three times before it’s spring but at least they gave us some hope.

Novella Carlton and Laura Carver were in Newton County on Thursday to attend the funeral of an aunt.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cowick from Texas visited with Novella Carlton on Friday.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrierand Lamarise on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier and myself.

There are still several sick ones in our community. Larry Keith and Ruby Hight have been added to the list.

Karen Burns met Kim Allen, a friend from college, in Rogers one day this week.

Karen also unexpectedly ran into Jean Nease one day and enjoyed a visit/ shopping with her.

Robert Hamilton is still going to physical therapy three days a week but is improving daily and was able to go to church on Sunday.
