Senior Center Report

— The Silver Strikers took second place in the Wii Regional Bowling Tournament. They will be competing in the finals on March 5 at the Fayetteville Senior Activity Center. They will be competing against the Fayetteville Strikers, Lincoln Kings & Queens, Madison County Golden Eagles 1, Big Flat Wildcats 1 and Newton County Ridgerunners.

The Billy V. Hall Senior Valentine King & Queen title this year goes to Bobby and Lorraine Hall. The Halls celebrated their 62nd anniversary this past December. Congratulations, you two! We would also like to congratulate Jack and Carole Witt on their 47th anniversary which they celebrated on February 14.

The Center has teamed up with Benton County Solid Waste District to begin a recycling program at the Center and both the Billy V. Hall Senior Housing and Gravette Senior Housing complexes. Receptacles for collection of paper have been placed at each housing complex in the community rooms and at the Senior Center. We encourage everyone to go green and take advantage of these drop points.
