GENTRY — Former Gentry School lunchroom employees reunited over coffee at the home of Jerry and Bonnie Bartlett on Jan. 1.
The women gathered with friends and family, and enjoyed recalling thetime they spent serving the Gentry School District together. They talked about the funny incidents that they experienced, and remembered their friends the late Dorothy Hawkins and Wilda McChristian.
Those attending were Willa Morris Kennedy, with 13 years of service;Francis Ennis Hickman, 22 years of service; Bonnie Bartlett, 10 years of service; Shirley Philpott, 20 years of service; and Barbara Mayfield with nine and a half years of service.
Mayfield traveled from Bakersfield, Calif. to join in the reunion. The other women reside in Gentry.
