Show car stolen in West Siloam

— Investigators of Delaware County Sheriff’s Office continue to search for a $200,000 show car that was reported missing from a West Siloam Springs, Okla., body shop Nov. 24.

A custom-built 1968 Camaro, the trailer in which it was stored, and a pickup were allegedly stolen from Billups Auto Body in West Siloam Springs, said Capt. Ron Teel of the sheriff’s office.

The pickup truck hauled the trailer with the car until it reached Stone Creek truck stop, near Chouteau, Okla.

Police found the truck in the parking lot Nov. 27.

Surveillance video from the truck stop showed that a white truck pulled in behind the reportedly stolen pickup and replaced it, Teel said.

The suspects might’ve been headed toward Tulsa.

A deputy from Mayes County Sheriff’s Office and an investigator from Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation responded to the truck stop.

The investigator took finger and palm prints and DNA samples from the truck left in the parking lot, according to the incident report.
