GRAVETTE — A Gravette man is expecting to spend a week in Haiti as part of a missionary project of the Church of Christ.

Butch Dawson will be joining a group from Littleton, CO, and Georgia to spend a week in that ravaged country.

The trip has been in the planning stages for months and was originally scheduled for February. The earthquake there moved the date forward. Dawson said food, clothing, etc., had already been collected for shipping.

Barring unexpected changes, the group is scheduled to leave Friday.
