Shotgun fired at car

— Police received reports of a gunshot, fired from a passing car on Pine Street, at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

According to Gentry Police Chief Keith Smith, a shotgun slug was fired into a parked car at an apartment complex on Pine Street shortly after adispute over the repayment of money allegedly owed by a person at the apartment complex.

Smith said the shotgun slug was contained in the vehicle, and no one was hurt in the incident.

Gentry Police, assisted by the Benton County Sheriff ’s Department, were investigating the shooting and following up on leads to locate the shooter.
