Northwest Arkansas — Installation of new Electronic Reading Transmitters, commonly referred to as E.R.T.s, are being installed on Arkansas Western Gas Company metersthroughout the company’s service area.

Scott Queisser, AWG employee of Gravete, is shown installing one of the new meter-readingdevices in the Sulphur Springs area. When work in that community is completed, installation of the metering system is expected to begin in theGravette area.

Arkansas Western Gas Company is now a subsidiary of Source Gas Company, headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado.

The new system will allow meters to be read electronically

from a vehicle, a more efficient method now

being employed by many utility companies.
