Arkansas governor Mike Beebe and the Arkansas State Board of Education have proclaimed the week beginning Jan. 24, 2010, as Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Week.

If the opportunity presents itself, this week or on some future day, personally say, “Thank You,” to members of the Gentry School Board for their hours of service for the benefit of the Gentry Schools and the children they serve.

Current members of the Gentry board are: Jim Barnes, president; Coye Cripps, vice-president; Brenda Willett, secretary; Dani Cypert; Ted Dorn; and David Williamson II. Le’Ann Watanabe also served on the school board until her resignation for health reasons last week.
