Postmaster Urges Caution When Backing Up

— Recently, local statistics have shown several accidents involving customers backing into a Postal Vehicle from their driveways, said Gerald, Garner, Gravette Postmaster.

Please review these simple steps to prevent such accidents.

◊Always look down the driveway before entering your vehicle.

◊Check for children and vehicles.

◊When backing, back slowly.

◊Stop at the end of thedriveway and check oncoming vehicles.

◊And any parked vehicle behind you.

◊If you cannot exit the driveway safely wait for the carrier to move the vehicle.

The Postal Service is very concerned about the safety of each and every member of the community. With your help we can prevent backing accidents involving Postal Vehicles.
