Bobby Wasman

Bobby R. Wasman, 78, of Springfield, MO, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010. He was born May 14, 1932, in Gravette, AR, the son of Everette Lee and Anna Belle Wasman.

Mr. Wasman, formerly of Sulphur Springs, graduated from Sulphur Springs High School. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Shirley Wellesley December 30, 1957. He was a meat cutter by profession.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wasman of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Deanna Wasman of Columbia, MO, and Stacy Wasman of Springfield; one sister, Barbara Wasman of Sulphur Springs; and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held July 2 at Gorman-Scharph Brentwood Chapel in Springfield. A graveside service was held Saturday, July 3, at Bethel Cemetery at Gravette conducted by Rev, Dan Fagala.

Local arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Eunice Herndon

Eunice Herndon, 99, a long-time resident of Gravette, died June 30, 2010, in Springdale, Arkansas.

Mrs. Herndon won a national award for her poetry and authored a book “Poems”, a copy of which is at the Gravette Public Library.

She was laid to rest beside her late husband Ernest Herndon at Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
