GRAVETTE — The Gravette Lions are featured on a double-page spread in the 2010 Hooten’s Arkansas Football publication.

This is the 18th year the publication has been issued and its more than 400 pages feature all of the high school teams in the state in addition to colleges.

The University of Arkansas, Arkansas State, UCA, UAPB and other state colleges are highlighted along with the SEC east and west divisions.

There are numerous features including finishpredictions at all the various levels.

Division 1-4A, which includes Gravette, last year’s state champ Shiloh Christian is picked the preseason top finisherfollowed by Prairie Grove, Farmington and then Gravette. Other teams are Ozark, Gentry, Pea Ridge and Berryville.

Seniors who graduated include all state running back Michael Croasdell and linebacker Travis Eden, quarterback Colton Moorman, linebacker Nathan Ortmann and all-league receiver David O’Brien.

Thirteen returning Lions are pictured in the two-page spread which notes the Lions have won 28 games during the past three years including state playoffs.

Coach Bill Harrelson, alluding to the past record, is quoted in the article.

“They (our players) want to win and now they have the confidence to do it.”
