Maysville News

We have had some nice temperatures for a few days.

We could use some rain.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, last Saturday.

She took them to Siloam Springs to Callahan’s to eat. It was for Father’s Day.

She spent the night with them and returned home on Sunday.

My brother, Jim Vandiver of Broken Arrow, OK, visited me recently and had lunch with me. I always enjoy him coming over for a visit.

Shelly and Jacob Bishop visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day recently.

Shelly had visited with them another day.

Chris Wiley was the guest speaker at Maysville Bible Church last Sunday. His family attended Sunday School and church with us. Chris sang a special in morning services.

Steve and Susan Tucker and Sheldon of Bella Vista visited me last Friday. They had got a call that Clifton Tucker had been in the hospital in Owasso, OK. I had just had a call also. He is home and doing fine. I think the heat was part of the problem. He is backat work.

E. H. Club attendance was down last week. There were some 4-H activities going on that kept some away and some were on vacation. We always miss the ones who are absent.

It was good for the others who could attend. We had a good meeting.

My sister and husband, Jim and Marie Crawford, visited me on Tuesday afternoon. I sure did enjoy their visit, as always.

Steve and Susan Tucker took me to a doctor appointment in Bentonville on Wednesday. It was the surgeon. He said I had done so good I didn’t have to come back. That was good news.

My sister, Frances Sims of Bentonville, and niece Anita Townsend were over one day last week. I enjoyed their visit.

Thursday was Senior Fun Day at the community building. There was a fair attendance. Some were probably in the hay fields and doing other activities. It is the first and third Thursday of each month.
