GRAVETTE — Gravette city employees have been

busy this spring and summer in at

tempting to locate leaks in the city’s wa

ter distribution system. The photo above

Gravette purchases its water supply

from the Two-Ton system and all water

lost through leaks is money down the

proverbial rat-hole.

Junior Hartley recently told the City

Council the City of Pea Ridge has pur

chased leak detecting equipment which

has enabled that city’s leak-loss to be

dramatically lowered through line repair

and replacement.

Hartley said the equipment costs

several thousand dollars but indicated

that money saved would soon pay for

its cost.
