Students inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

— Rachel Lee and Matthew Sample, both University of Arkansas graduates from Gentry, were inducted into the Alpha of Arkansas Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa during a ceremony on May 7.

Lee graduated with a bachelor of science degree in physics. Sample graduated with a bachelor of science degree, with honors, in biology, and a bachelor of arts degree, with honors, in philosophy.

Founded at the College of William and Mary in1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest and most prestigious academic honorary society in the country. The Society champions and fosters the value of study in the liberal arts and sciences as the best preparation of students for life and leadership in the years after graduation.
