— Persons who have commercial properties for sale may now have them posted, with photos, on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission list, according to Allyson Ransom, Director of Communications and Resource Efficiency for the City of Gravette.

Ransom was recently named the liason/representative for Gravette to the Commission, according to Jessica Breaux, AEDC development consultant.

“The properties must have water and sewer available and buildings will have to be at least 10,000 square feet or acreages of 3 acres or more to be eligible,” Ransom said.

She explained: “MajorU.S. and international companies looking to relocate with specific criteria go to this website continually to view sites that match their criteria. It is a neat service and few people know about it. Through this website, a large company that makes wind turbines recently chose Fort Smith as their new location.

Small towns have been chosen for new businesses as we depending on the company’s needs and the city’s attributes.

“Now that we have an overpass, our transportation issues are greatly improved and this was one feature that helped Gentry get more businesses according to Jessica.”
