Rachel Jones Attends People To People Leadership Forum In Washington, D.C.

— Rachel Jones, a student at Gravette Middle School, attended the People to People World Leadership Forum, held in our Nation’s Capitol June 21-26.

Rachel, the daughter of Dr. Nancy and Larry Jones, was selected for the honor “to study leadership and explore some of the United States’ most prominent monuments and institutions.”

People to People was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and honorary chairman have been every President since that time.

Rachel visited Capitol Hill, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of American History and historic Gettysburg. “Forum delegates also participated in small group discussion and exercises to experience first-hand how successful leaders develop strategies, make decisions, build consensus and foster change,” a People to People release explained.

She was selected to attend based on scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership, the release continued.
