Girl, 2, killed in farm accident

— The 2-year-old daughter of a Siloam Springs bank manager was killed on the night of July 12 in an accident on an Oklahoma poultry farm.

Authorities said a garage-style door fell and struck Ayden Holcombe, the daughter of Aaron and Tammie Holcombe of Jay, Okla.

Aaron Holcombe, who raises pullets for Simmons Foods, is the Decatur State Bank vice president and manages the Bank of Siloam Springs location, saidDecatur State Bank President Vernon Austin.

Authorities were contacted about 9 p.m. Monday and told the child had been injured. The parents then drove the girl about 13 miles in a pickup to Arkansas 12 and Arkansas 43, north of Siloam Springs, where Gentry emergency workers were waiting, said Gentry Fire Chief Vestor Cripps.

A Siloam Springs Fire Department ambulance crew arrived soon after and drove the child to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, where the child died, Cripps said.
