BENTON COUNTY — Contestants are being sought for the Miss Benton County and other pageants scheduled during the upcoming Benton County Fair. The fair begins Wednesday, August 18.

The fair this year is scheduled almost a full month earlier than in past years and contestants and fairgoers are reminded of the early dates.

The pageants will be held at the Fair Auditorium located at the “new” Benton County Fairgrounds located near Vaughn.

Contestants for Miss Benton County Fair must be bona-fide residents of the county and high school senior girls or home school seniors. Contestants will compete in sportswear, interview and evening gown.

The winner will receivea $750 scholarship and will represent the county at the State Fair in Little Rock in October. She also will receive an expense allowance.

The deadline for entry is August 1 and entry forms are only available online HPERLINK “http”://www heartoftheozarks.weebly com”.

Contestants are being sought for preteen, junior teen and teen pageants in various divisions, age 12 through 17 and high school seniors.

Pageants for Miss and Mister Benton County Tot, ages 4-6; Little Miss Tiny Tot, ages 7-9 and a Baby Contest for girls and girls in several divisions age 0 through age 3. Entry forms must be turned in by August 1 and are available at the above online address.
