Maysville E.H. Club Enjoys Film About Coin Harvey

The Maysville E. H. Club met Thursday, July 22, at 1 p.m. We used the noon hour to arrange tables, etc. for the county meeting on the 23rd.

Melinda Crawley led in singing “In the Good Ole Summertime”. We pledged allegiance to the U. S. flag.

Katherine Tucker showed her book entitled “A Mother’s Legacy” and told how much she had enjoyed keeping it filled in and rereading it.

Orpha gave tips for a great salad and Jewel Lukens gave hints of how to crack and pick out whole nuts.

A film was shown entitled “Sunken Dreams” by Coin Harvey. It told about several cities and areas not far from Northwest Arkansas.

Sylvia Tucker reported on the use of the community building.

Volunteer hours were reported for community service.

The president reminded us of what we were to bring on “Fun Day” such as food, tea and items for the drawing.

Melinda Crawley, Mary Crawley and Jewel Lukens volunteered to work on the county fair booth from Maysville.

The meeting was dismissed and we finished preparations for the county meeting the next day.
