The summer weather is still with us. The weather report is rain today, maybe late in the afternoon. Hope we get some.

Dean Austin’s daughter Connie and family, of Pryor, OK, came over Saturday and met with other family members. They had their gathering at the Maysville community building.

There was a wedding at the Baptist Church in Maysville at 5 p.m. on Saturday. I don’t have the names but the bride was a granddaughter of Riley and Kay Marsh. Congratulations to the couple.

Sylvia Tucker visited me on Saturday afternoon andbrought me some plums so I could make some jelly.

Jim Whisenant of Gentry was the guest speaker at the Maysville Bible Church this morning. HE sang some songs and Beverly Maxwell sang a special They were all good and we enjoyed them.

There was a fun day at the Maysville community center on Friday for all Benton County clubs Maysville Club hosted it Men from the Extension Office cooked the hamburgers and hot dogs for the lunch. There was a lot of food enjoyed by the 72 in attendance. We had a good program and several door prizes.
