GRAVETTE — Following the public meeting concerning Gravette’s wastewater treatment project Thursday night the City Council held its regular monthly meeting. The following business was conducted by the Council:◊Tabled action on an ordinance amending inspection fees.
◊Approved a resolution to apply for a grant fromthe Arkansas Rural Development Authority for funds to repair the swimming pool before next summer.
◊Heard that insurance coverage for the Civic Center and new water tower are included in the city’s present sewer policies.
◊Approved budget adjustments for purchase of an additional lawn mower and for repairing an oldlawn mower.
◊Heard reports from company representatives to upgrade the city’s phone service and computer network but tabled action pending further committee discussion.
◊Continued negotiating with Benton County to pave portions of Limekiln Road which are jointly maintained by the county and city.
