Run-off Election Will Be Held Next Tuesday; Polling Places Listed

— Arkansas voters will go to the polls next Tuesday, June 8, in the runoff elections for candidates who did not receive majorities in their party’s primary May 18. Polling places will remain the same.

Precinct Nos. 1 and 2 will vote at the Gravette Civic Center.

Precinct No. 2 will vote at the Sulphur Springs Community Building.

Precincts No. 4 and 5 will vote at the Decatur Community Building.

Precinct No. 22 will vote at the Hiwasse Fire Station.

Polls will open Tuesday, June 8, at 7:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m.

Early voting will be held from Tuesday of this week until June 7 at the County Clerk’s offices: 215 East Center, Bentonville; 300 West Poplar in Rogers; and 707 S. Lincoln in Siloam Springs.

Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Paper ballots will only be available at the Bentonville office.

Among the races being contested in the runoff areBlanche Lincoln vs. Bill Halter in the race for U. S. Senate on the Democrat ticket.

Dave Bisbee vs. Cecile Bledsoe in the race for U. S. Representative on the Republican ticket.

Nathan Florer vs. Curtis “Steve” Curry in the race for Justice of Peace Dist. 11 on the Republican ticket.

Persons who voted in the primary election on one of the party primary ballots (Democrat or Republican) may vote only on that party’s ballot in the runoff election.
