Wednesday, June 9, 2010

— The City of Gravette will soon have a new letterhead to replace the one that has been in use for more than 50 years.

Art students at Gravette Middle School submitted original drawings of what they thought Gravette’s “logo” should be, explained Allyson Ransom, City Director of Communications.

More than 150 students of Lori Walker, art instructor at the school, participated.

Nine winning designs were chosen, Ransom said, and the winning drawing is being incorporated into the new letterhead design.

Pictured are the winners in the above photos. From the left, CassandraGuerra won the first place award; Nikole Good, second place; and Rian Austin, third. The other photo shows honorable mention winners, from the left, Angela Lee, Cameron Choate, Chay McDaniel, Hunter Dell, Courtney Brown and Jacob Blackmon.

All of the winners received monetary prizes.
