Arvest Ballpark Decatur Night

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals and the Decatur Chamber of Commerce are presenting “Decatur Night” at Arvest Ballpark. The game will begin at 6 p.m., July 18. Discounted tickets are available for Decatur residents only, and $1 from each ticket sold will go back to the Decatur community. Tickets can be purchased for $6 from the Decatur State Bank, City of Decatur, Decatur General Store, the Gallery Cafe and TNT Express. For more information, call 752-3281.

ATV Rodeo

An ATV Rodeo will be held on June 12 on the cityowned property near Ivan Road. The rodeo will include pull events, pro, amateur and kids' barrel races, a mud pit, and kids' games. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and events begin at 10:30 a.m. Admission is free. Entry fees are $6 per event or three for $15. For more information, call 752-3912.

Fishing Derby

The Seventh Annual Community Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, June 12, at Crystal Lake. Registration will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the derby will be from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be five age divisions for children ages 1 through 14. Each child will get a prize and the event will include games and a picnic lunch. Memorial Day Flowers and Flags

Memorial Day Flowers placed at the Decatur City Cemetery will be allowed to remain 14 days after the holiday. Flowers will then be removed and recycled unless they are attached directly to the grave stone. Flags have been placed on the graves of veterans for the Memorial Day holiday. If a friend or family member notices a veteran that did not get a flag, they are asked to call 752-3912 to update the city records.

Class of 2000 Reunion

Decatur High School Class of 2000 is planning a 10-year reunion this summer. The reunion committee would love for everyone who graduated from Decatur in 2000 to participate in the reunion but needs addresses or contact information for a large portion of the graduates. Parks and Recreation Committee meetings will be held at 6 p.m., on the first Thursday of the month in the city council room. All members are urged to attend, along with anyone who is interested in joining the committee. For more information, call 752-3912.

Food Pantry

The Decatur food pantry is open from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. The pantry offers free, non-perishable food to Decatur residents. The pantry is located at the United Methodist Church in Decatur. Participants need to bring identification showing they have a 72722 ZIP code. For more information, contact the Methodist Church at 752-3551.

City Council

Decatur city council meetings are held at 6 p.m., the second Monday of each month, in the council room at city hall and are open to the public. For more information, call 752-3912.

Assembly of God Van Service

Van service is available to children and adults who need transportation to Sunday morning and evening church services and Wednesday evening services at the Assembly of God Church in Decatur. For more information, contact Stacy Brooks at 790-7171.

Decatur Library

Decatur library hours are 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Wednesdays.
