We are sure having summer weather even though it isn’t summer yet. Hopefully we will get some rain soon.

Jewel Lukens and Lowele Crom had a long telephone visit one day last week. They were classmates and graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1935. Judy Eldred is the only other living member that Jewel knows of. Neither of them were able to attend the school reunion last week but the phone visit was really enjoyed.

Patrick Beasley of Bentonville was the guest speaker at the Maysville Bible Church this morning. He brought a good message.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Sunday, May 30, went to their daughter Patti King’s home to help her celebrate her birthday. Others attending were Ronnie and Debbie Sims, Sammie Sappington and a friend from Fayetteville and a couple of friends from Washington.

Orpha Wardlaw is home after spending some timein Tulsa, OK, with her daughter Steve and Eva Rea Fincher and children Selena and Zack. She hadn’t been feeling well so she spent a few days over there and rested. She is good now and it was good to have back to church.

Family members gathered in the home of Eddy and Leslie Ballmann and children Cord and Jackie on Memorial Day for a cookout. Those attending were Marvin and Bert Ballmann, Kevin and Diane Graham, Katy and Wendy Stidham, Matt and Karla Ballmann and Luke Ballmann.

Gary and Helen Chism stopped by to see me one afternoon this week and brought my supper to me, a Kentucky Fried Chicken dinner. They do that quite often and I enjoy it.

Billy and Violet Lovell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Maysville Community Building Sunday afternoon. I was at their wedding. Sure doesn’t seem like it has been 50 years.
