Sharon Kay Adams

Sharon Kay Adams, 56, of Colcord, Okla., died June 4, 2010, at Mercy Hospital In Rogers.

She was born July 8, 1953, in Roswell, N.M., to Virgil and Billie Jo Scherock Adams. She was an executive personnel manager for Willstaff / Advantage Staffing in Siloam Springs. She also established Cookie Kay’s Cake Shop and the Hideout Arcade in Siloam Springs. She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Gwen Jones, Becky Chamberlin and Connie Jo Adams.

She is survived by two sons, Warren Winningham and wife Joy of Watts, Okla., and Dustin Winningham and wife Miranda of Colcord, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs on June 8, with Mike Greenwood officiating. Burial was at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City.

Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Willard Denzer

Willard Roy Denzer, 92, of Gentry, died June 6, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was born April 16,1918, in Nevada, Ohio, the son of Amos Waldo Denzer and Hazel Gladys Young Denzer. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He retired from Tyson Foods, where he was a research farm manager.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Roy Denzer; and one granddaughter, Crystal Hollis.

Survivors include his wife Merle Stepp Denzer of the home; two sons, Ronald K. Denzer of Anna, Texas, and Timothy Scott Denzer of Joplin, Mo.; two daughters, Rhonda Denzer of Zena, Okla., and Janice Denzer of Lexington, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at Evans Cemetery in Pettigrew, with Gary David Denzer officiating.

Henry Irl Mackey

Henry Irl Mackey, 70, of Siloam Springs, died June 2, 2010, at Fayetteville Health and Rehab in Fayetteville.

He was born May 8, 1940, in Walsh, Colo., to Lawrence and Lodene Ward Mackey. He lived most of his life in the Siloam Springs area and was an extruder operator for Brand Rex and Syroco until his retirement in 2006. He repaired CB radios for a hobby. He married Betty Locke in Tahlequah, Okla., on April 4, 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; a greatgrandson; and two sisters, Rita Hooper and Annie Spence.

He is survived by his wife of the home; five sons, Jimmy Mackey and wife Betty of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Johnny Mackey and wife Cheryl of Siloam Springs, Roger Mackey and wife Kelly of Colcord, Okla., Rex Mackey and wife Joetta of Centerton, and Rick Conklin of Siloam Springs; four daughters, Mary Coleman of Siloam Springs, Phyllis Coffron of Fayetteville, Linda Springer and husband Robert of Atoka, Okla., and Mary Mackey of Texas; 36 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 6 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with Logan Shelly officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

W.J. "Sonny" Wooten

W.J. “Sonny” Wooten, 78, of Midland, Texas, died May 26, 2010, at his home.

He was raised in Cisco, Texas, and moved to Midland in 1946 where he spent the rest of his life. He served in the Air Force from 1951 until 1953 in the Korean War. In 1956, he married Loula Howell.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Wanda Driver.

He is survived by a son, Charlie Howell of Midland; a daughter, Lisa Merworth of Decatur; brothers, Jack Whitehead of San Angelo, Texas, and Edward Wooten of Midland; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 29 at Elis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Graveside services were June 3 at Bethel Cemetery in Gravette, with Shane Roth officiating.

Local arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
