Gravette Letters To The Editor-

— Dear Editor,

We at the Gravette Public Library would like to thank all those who helped us make our Hamburger Fry Fundraiser a successful event. We had excellent weather and a good turnout and we appreciate everyone who helped us raise money for library programs and services. We raised more than $900.

Many thanks to the City of Gravette Public Works Department, Gravette Library Commmission members, Arvest Bank - Susan McPherson, Margo Thomas, Betty Adams, Eli Wynn, Stephanie Thomas, Sherri Hoover and all those who came to eat with us.

Special thanks to all who gave donations or loaned equipment for the sale including Teasley Drug, Effie Ross, Farmer’s Supply & Service Co., Sonic Drive-In, Marvin’s Grocery, Sara Lee, Dollar General, Little Debbie and Gravette Boys & Girls Club.

Kim Schneider, Library Manager and his team - Tom, Junior, Matthew and Allen - for your help to our city.

Also thanks to Barbara Wasman, Maurine Styles and Vera Moorman for preparing and serving the snacks and lunches to the men. I truly appreciate all of you.

Martha Kreder, Sulphur Springs

Dear Friends,

Once again the men of the Benton County Inmate Work Program have been in Sulphur Springs.

With the very severe winter we experienced, our streets certainly needed this help and the men did a great job in filling and repairing our many “potholes”.

Thank you Deputy Walter Dunn

Dear Editor,

On behalf of Glenn Duffy Elementary I would like to thank the many parents and volunteers who helped throughout the 2009-2010 school year! There were several events planned throughout the school year, Fall Festival, SLAM Night, PTO parties, Family Fun Night, Buddy Day and more that could not have happened without the support and time from our volunteers.

The Volunteer of the Day program was also a success.

Community members, family members and parents were invited to volunteer at the school in order to complete such tasks as copying, coloring, cutting, assembling materials, filing and various tasks that take away from teaching time. If you would like to volunteer for the upcoming school year please contact Faith Hendricks at fhendricks@ lions.k12ar.us.

Thank you again to the many volunteers and we’re looking forward to another great year!

Faith Hendricks,

Glenn Duffy Elementary
