Daniel Taylor

Daniel Ray Taylor, 60, of Gravette, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at his home. He was born September 11, 1949, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Frank Allan and Stella Lea Rich Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was educated in Grandview, MO. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1969-1973 aboard the USS Intrepid. He married Karen Kapmeyer November 5, 1969, in Grandview. He moved to Gravette in 1980 and operated a chicken farm. He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Jacob Daniel Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Taylor of the home; two sons, John Allan Taylor of Jane, MO, and Nathan Edward Taylor and wife Christine of Peculiar, MO; his mother, Stella Zawko of Belton, MO; one brother, Stephen Frank Taylor and wife Joan of Lytle Creek, CA; one sister, Rebecca Sue Lowery and husband Gary of Peculiar, MO; and two grandchildren, Sydney Mae and Sean Daniel Taylor.

Funeral service was Friday, June 11, at Bella Vista Funeral Home with J. D. Arnold officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Bill “Coonrod” Thomas

Bill “Coonrod” Thomas, 70, of Gravette, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Rogers, AR. He was born March 23, 1940, in Bentonville, the son of Kelly and Florence Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and worked for Glad Manufacturing for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Margo Thomas of the home; two sons, Bill Thomas and Kelly Thomas, both of Bentonville; his mother, Florence Ellen Thomas of Bentonville; a sister, Vera Moore of Bentonville; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette with Rev. Jack Deaton, Rev. Sherman Robinson and Rev. Jack Austin officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
