Jean, Blankenship to wed

Samantha Jean of Beaumont, Texas, and Casey Blankenship of Lumberton, Texas, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Jean of Fort Worth, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Alice and Eldon Elsasserg of Fort Worth and Rosa Jean of Port Aurthur, Texas, and the late Samuel Jean.

She is a 2002 graduate of West Brook High School in Beaumont and a 2010 graduate of Lomar University in Beaumont, with a degree in inter-disciplinary studies (elementary education).

The prospective groom is the son of Earnest and Anita Blankenship of Gentry. He is the grandson of Donald and MyrtleVan Fleet of Gentry, Bob and Orene Fish of Siloam Springs, and the late Joe Blankenship.

He is a 2001 graduate of Gentry High School in Gentry and a 2007 graduate of University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is employed at Metal Forms in Beaumont.

The wedding will be held at 2 p.m., June 26, at Cathedral in the Pines Assembly of God in Beaumont.

The couple will be greeting friends and family at a reception held in their honor at 6:30 p.m. on July 6 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gentry. Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration but are asked to RSVP by calling 736-8112 or 233-0932.
