ARKANSAS — Squirrel hunters in Arkansas now have a longer hunting season, according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
The new season openedMay 15 of this year and will run through February 28 next year. This replaced the old spring and fall seasons. The new dates apply statewide.
The G & F said there are plenty of squirrels, in fact too many in some places, and squirrels are good to eat in the summer too, the agency noted.
