Schoolmates Part Directions After More Than 20 Years

Kendra Boling, daughter of Danny and Becky Boling, and Nathan Tapp, son of William and Vickie Tapp, graduated in May from the University of Arkansas Dale Bumpers College of Food and Life Sciences.

Kendra received her degree in Apparel Studies and Nathan received his degree in Animal Science with a minor in Ag Business.

This was not the firstgraduation these two shared. They became friends as three-year-olds at Evelyn Wilmoth’s Home Day Care and Preschool. Graduating preschool, kindergarten, high school and now college together, they have encouraged one another to do their best.

They also competed in livestock shows from 4-H Cloverbuds through high school FFA. Kendra was a 4-H state officer and Nathan was an FFA state officer. A little encouragement and competition between friends goes a long way as they both graduated with honors.

Now they part ways as Kendra is pursuing her Master’s Degree at U of A and Nathan heads to Texas Tech with a graduate assistantship in Meat Science to pursue his Master’s Degree, but friendship remains.
