Summer Energy Assistance Program Begins

— The Office of Human Concern (OHC) will be accepting applications for the FY 2010 Summer Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), beginning on July 12. This program is for Cooling only. The main office in Rogers will be accepting applications for Regular and Crisis assistance Tues. - Fri. from 8 a.m. to 12 noon ONLY. No one will be seen on Mondays or after 12 noon. NO EXCEPTIONS!

An outreach office is open in Gravette at the United Methodist Church, Tuesday only from, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applications for persons60 years of age and older are also available at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center in Gravette. For persons under age 60 applications will be available at 900 S.E. 13th Court in Bentonville.

There are income applicable guidelines and written verification will be required, according to the OHC.

As an example, Household size of 1, the monthly countable income is $1,354; two persons, $1,821; three persons, $2,289, etc.
