Two blood drives set for Monday

— Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold blood drives at both Gentry and Decatur on Monday, June. 28.

The blood mobile will be at Arvest Bank in Gentry, 320 E. Main Street, from 8:30 to 11:30 am. It will be at the DecaturMedi Clinic, 346 N. Main, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and presenting the required identification.

A code-yellow alert is in place for types O-positive and A-positive blood, meaning there is less thana two day supply on hospital shelves. Donations are needed.

It takes over 275 donations each day to meet the needs of the thirty-seven area hospitals that use CBCO products. A single blood donation can save the lives of up to three people, according to a CBCO release.
