— A free Gravette Lions Youth Basketball Clinic for all students in grades 3 through 6 will be held the first and third Saturdays during March and April at the old gym.

The first session will be held this Saturday, March 6, from 10 a.m. until noon.

Randy Greenway, Gravette alumnus and former basketball coach, will be conducting the clinic.

Greenway is a 1980 graduate of Gravette High School. He has coached high school and college basketball at several schools, including Gravette where he ledthe Lions to a conference championship in 1995.

He emphasizes that no sign-up is required and the clinic is free.

“The clinic will focus on fundamental skills of dribbling and shooting,” Greenway said. “Shooting players will learn proper footwork, balance, body position, ball release and follow-through. The clinic will use a program specifically designed to help young players develop advance dribbling skills,” he added.

Youth should arrive at the gym by 9:50 and be ready to begin at 10 a.m.
